Office Ergonomics

Many of us today perform much of our work in front of a computer. The human body is generally not designed to sit for extended periods of time or to perform repetitive tasks on the computer. A safe and comfortable workstation is essential in reducing and preventing strain on our muscles and joints.

This session will

  • Introduce the concept of ergonomics
  • Describe the types of risk factors that pertain to an office computer workstation.
  • Show you how to set up a safe, healthy and comfortable workstation.
  • Provide an overview of good work practices that can prevent or minimize injury and discomfort.
